The Crisis:

Extreme weather "no longer exceptional." Afghanistan's worst drought in 30 years.
These conditions pose a direct threat to both food security and economic stability in a country where over 80% of the population depends on agriculture for their livelihoods.

Yet, support for people living through the climate crisis is limited,
Hunger is becoming deeper, deadlier and more concentrated in crisis-affected countries.

Thirty-seven million people are now facing IPC Phase 4, the emergency level of food insecurity where families face extreme food gaps, very high malnutrition and rising deaths.

The Solution:

• Stewardship (Khilafah): Humans as caretakers, not owners—"The Earth is green and beautiful, and Allah has appointed you stewards over it"

  
  

• Water Conservation: The Prophet forbade wasting water even at a running stream, while performing ablution

  
  

• Planting as Worship: "If the Hour comes while one of you holds a sapling, let him plant it"—long-term thinking beyond immediate crises

  
  

• Animal Rights: Prohibition of ecosystem destruction during warfare (no cutting trees, killing livestock, or poisoning wells)
